Pacing Sensation

Over the last couple of weeks I've occasionally noted sensations of pacing. Always just a kick or maybe two and they seem to be entirely random. The feeling is identical to the kicks (but lower in intensity) I feel when the EP cranks up the PM voltage during periodic tests. I'm approaching my 5th month after implant and it seems odd that I'd suddenly begin feeling these. They are not painful and really not much of a bother, just a bit odd. About the only function of my PM being used is a lower pulse rate limit of 50 ppm but it also captures occasional periods of very rapid beats - due to my chronic atrial fib. I only pace 11% of the time, and I assume most of those occur when I'm sleeping. I know some of you feel the pulsing all of the time - any others have just occasional pulsing sensations?

my pacemaker used to do that...it ended up being that the ventricle lead's self-test was ON, after being turned OFF, I was fine.

perhaps during your next check, you could ask what features can be turned off and/or lowered.

I am in active heart block. It happens quite a lot. Esp when I am upset or overly tired. The last 3 times I have gone in for pm check the technician hasnt been able to test properly because I am in complete block. I used to just think I was pacing but it wasnt that.
It is an annoying feeling. Makes me tired and sometimes nauseated?

You know you're wired when...

Jerry & The Pacemakers is your favorite band.

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
