Pookie, here in Dallas, well clear of the actual storm, but might see a lot of rain because of it.

my husband's friend lives in galvenston. they have left he and his wife and are on his brother's ranch till the storm is over. the big worry is what you go back to and how much insurance you can claim. he thinks he might have to start from scratch. sad but at least he is in a position to start over. jess just glad they are safe

To all of our Texan friends, please stay safe and hunker down.

Hopefully, the property loss won't be as bad as they're claiming on CNN.

I have a friend who has evacuated three times in the past month......she visits friends in Plano for the duration.

She's very worried tonight as her home and business are right near the gulf......she can walk to the ocean.
