Hi....just to refresh your memory..72 year old very active woman...pacemaker inserted June 4th....am just not feeling quite right....head feels kind of foggy and at times I feel lightheaded but not to the point of passing out...my blood pressure has been higher since the pacemaker was implanted. Also get really tired very fast which is very much unlike me. Am still doing all I have to do and do work full time...any feedback would be so appreciated....thanks...vtlaney

My suggestion is see your doctor and tell him what you just told us. As you know something just ain't right. My guess is those items on your list that are most likely to be PM related are; Lightheaded, Higher BP, Increased tiredness.

Good luck,

Hi.

June 4 is only a few weeks ago...your body needs some time to heal. I wasn't up to going back to work for a month!

When you have your next doctor appointment or your next cardiologist appointment please mention the fogginess and lightheadedness that you are experiencing. Sometimes it takes several tweaks to your pacemaker settings before it is set right for you!

Also, ask about the rate response feature! Another thing perhaps you might take a look at is any of your medications as they can cause some of the things you have mentioned.

Hope this helps a bit and remember to take it easy.

Give it time!

I had my pacer put in in 2005. It took a good year before i was feeling back to normal. It took time to get sick to the point of needing a pacer. Then who knows how long or how bad off we really were. So it takes time to build back up. I am now at 2 and 1/2 years and feel great. Hang in there. Bowlrbob

One week has passed and I must admit that each day I feel a little stronger.
