Just call me Speedy!!!!

I had my check today. We turned it off to see what my underlying rate is these days.... 52!! That's HUGE for me. Last time we checked it was in the 20's. Ok, every other time it has always been in the 20's, lol. She said I was in a 2nd degree block today. Weird. I'm not going to turn it off or anything, I'm still using it 99% of the time, but it's still odd.

Battery has 4-7 mos left we've stepped up my appointments to every other month. I made an appointment with the doc while the rep is there for next time so I can bounce a few things off them both at the same time before the replacement.

That is encouraging. For one thing it gives you less dependent if the pacer quit.

I had something similar a while back. I was feeling something different so hooked up the ECG. What I found was that my ventricles were contracting just a few milliseconds before the pacer pulse would normally arrive. So I was actually getting a normal beat. Like yours it's not enough to turn it off, but worth watching.

There is a setting that has the pacer test for this periodically by delaying the V Pace slightly. Mine has been turned off since there was no indication it would do any good. The Medtronic rep and I talked it over and decided the less of these feature turned on the better.

I'm glad you are heading for replacement before me. Nice to have someone leading the way. G:

I am 100% pacemaker dependant and have been all my life. I try not to think about how a little metal box keeps me alive - it would drive me crazy. So I lead a very active life.
