Guess we are the lucky ones.

Hi,

had my PM put in about 4 months ago now, but still get the odd day when I get depressed and want to rip the thing out. I know that's quite normal and many people go through it.

I was having one of those days yesterday until I got home from work, and received a call from my sister to let me know one of my nephews has testicular cancer. He is 21. He is having his op today (18th) to try and remove it.

Suddenly my problems seemed VERY insignificant, and I feel guilty for feeling sorry for myself.

I've been given my second chance thanks to my titanium friend. Now I hope he gets his.

Simon.

I'm so sorry to hear about your nephew. Recovery rates for testicular cancer are extremely high. Good for him getting checked out, so many boys that age will ignore the symptoms. Sending him healing thoughts and prayers.

sorry for your self

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
