question on coreg & cordarone

Hello Everyone:
Haven't been on for a while. Haven't been doing the very best.
Going to the Card. tomorrow, hope that they can fix it.
Have been so tired and shortness of breath, have no energy.
Have to force myself to get dressed. Don't want to go anywhere.
Wonder if my meds. are doing this, I am on Coreg 6.25 mg.
Cordarone 200 mg. Both twice daily. Then they lowered the cordarone to once a day. Just have no will. Has anyone else felt like this. Did they change your meds. I called the nurse and she said that I might be going back to heart failure, something is not right. Will find out tomorrow, & will let all of know. Hope that you all are doing better. I also will have my def. tested tomorrow. Is there anything that I should ask. You all have so much knowledge. Hope that you all have a good day, & thanks for listening. Hope to hear from you on this subject.

Hi
The Amiodarone sides effects usualy appear after a long using periode; watch attentional for TSHfunction , pulmonary fibrosis, liver enzime...ONLY if the liver enzime are 3 times increased the doctors will change the medication...You don't feel tired because of Amiodarone. This harmful drug keep me free 7 years of Atrial fib without any side effects... .But now,my thyroid was damage...and doctors put me on rate control;after more than 3 months i don't manage yet, with my new drugs(Bisoprolol and verapamil).Give up to Amiodarone only if you must ,Let us know what your doctor decided.Hope you'll fell better.
Anette.

coreg & cordarone

Hi
Looks like you are on maintenance dosage on both coreg and cordarone. The common side effects of these 2 drugs are tiredness, shortness of breadth, hands & legs feels like "lead" etc. Looks like your doctors believed you can do with less drugs since they just halved the cordarone. The doc is best person to work with you on the medication requirements in your case and experiment with different drugs that may have less side effects. As each person vary and is differently affected by the medication, something else may work for you.

I was on cordarone before and since I could not tolerate it (liver problem) I was switched to sotalol. I have not experienced any side effects so far from sotalol. Wish you luck in finding the right medication with your doc.
