Almost crying again!

Hi guys, I was feeling emotional... for awhile today. Almost gave it up to go cry in the bathroom at work! Well, I decided that just isn't who I am. I won't hide in any bathroom, especially the one at work.

So I have a lot to do... so does everyone except the ones at the rest home. (no offense intended).

So tomorrow is a new day, I am attending classes at Wichita State University. The boss has gone on vacation (U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS!) and his classes begin the day he leaves.... so I "get" to go and fill in for him. At first the idea scared me half to death! Now... I just figure I might learn something. The one class is about the civil war and slavery. Very interesting material for many different reasons. The other class is about love and sex! he he... should be fun don't you think? The 3rd class is "Men and Masculinities" I thought to myself... I like those subjects... hee hee, It should be great fun!

So it appears to me that I can make the most of this or feel really dumped on... I choose the first... bring it on. I am getting old, so I figure I better learn about these things before it is too late! ha ha :-)

I love you guys, thank you for your support... it means so very much to me...THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

p.s. I will keep you posted on the class progress if you like! he he... should be great. Darn the luck the doc is only gone for a week! ha ha

p.s. I posted this under something else and decided to post it here as well.... please won't you forgive me for the double post!

Hello again!!

Do not cry in public toilets - eryuk! The lighting in there makes us look yuk and our eyes more red and swollen than they actually are!! Any you never know who is lurking in the cubicles!!!

Good luck with your classes! Bit over my head! Mind you if the tutor looks really cute and like your favourite film star then you can let your imagination go wild..... well, that's what I would do.... and in my case - it would be either George Clooney, Matthew Fox or Josh Holloway! I know, I know, I can't help myself!

Anyway, stay positive and look forward for another thrilling installment.....

Love, Loopy Lou xx

Hello Frank,

Just wanted to tell you that I am still sorry for your loss. Nothing can bring your lovely wife back, but I hope it gives you some comfort to know that you are not alone.

Your advice to me is the first time i have ever heard of choosing my time to "let it fly" My goodness, I would have not thought of this myself. To allow myself to cry when I need to, at a time that will work for me ... What a gift. I shall give this a try when I am feeling that low again.

Thank you so much for caring about me.

Pick your time to cry

Hey, there's nothing wrong with crying. For the last 1 1/2 years I've been dealing with the death of my wife of 48 years. The thing I have found helpful is to deliberately take time to focus my attention on things that are likely bring me to the point of tears. I can do this when I don't have anything pressing to do and it makes it much less likely to have it come up at bad time. I have a real positive feeling about it and have no reservations about letting it fly.

Speaking of flying, my flight instructor used to tell us "If you are going to crash, pick the place".
