Sutures out tomorrow

Well it's been a week since my PM was put in and tomorrow I go back to have the sutures taken out. I reckon my incision has healed pretty well; the nurse drew an outline on the covering just after the surgery and the blood didn't go outside that area during the whole week so I'm pretty confident things are going well.

What I miss most though is driving. I can't wait until I'm able to do that again. I know legally my week is up but I'd rather wait on the doctors' opinion.

Driving

Hi glad things are going well. I've been pacing for 3 months now, still having one or two problems but at least ive made 2009.

I am finding that a lot of driving is making my arm hurt, the gear changes, and, if ive been driving a while i am also getting little pin prick shocks on my collar bone, soooooooooooooo do take it easy!!

I'm quite small and I find that the seat belt catches my collar bone as well, if thats the case with you get some padding on your seat belt.

AND...............make the most of not driving for a week or so, the rat race will still be out there waiting for you.

Take care!!

All went well with the nurse and the doctor that put in my PM had a look and was very happy with my progress. As far as seatbelts go, as we have right hand drive cars here in the UK the seatbelt isn't an issue for me, unless I'm a passenger!

I am just grateful to God that I lived long enough to have my ICD put in. So many people are not as lucky as us; even though we sometimes don't feel lucky.
