Heading home...

We have had a fantastic time in Tampa! I want to thank Blake and Rachel for the wonderful experience. Blake worked so hard to put this event together for us and it was awesome! We were well taken care of, the speakers were informative, so easy to talk to. My Goodness I am exhausted and ready to return to my home, but I am so happy and thankful that I was able to come. It has meant so much to me to actually meet the Pacer Chicks, the Pacer Studs and of course Blake and Rachel. The hotel was great, the staff wonderful and the location too. We laughed, enjoyed drinks together shared a lot of toast with an assortment of drinks. The Ball was something special as well. Everyone looked so handsome and beautiful.
I learned a great deal from the Sat. morning meeting, plus be able to mix with the Pacer Club members I was able to speak freely with The St. Jude Rep and the chairman of Heartbeat International, Dr. Benedict Maniscalco. The purpose of the entire trip for me was to learn more about the Pacemaker Club, meet in person my pacer friends and to see how I could help Heartbeat International!
This is what I have learned....
# 1.Blake is a fantastic and funny guy! He has a beautiful and wonderful wife!
#2. The Pacer Chicks and the best friends anyone could ever ask for. I feel honored to be considered a "Pacer Chick".
The most important thing of all is...
#3 because we need help. Who understands better than we do about pacemakers? Now this is what I am asking of you... (Yes that is you the pacer/ICD user) Please, please donate just $1.00 towards Heartbeat International. It's so easy, you just have to send it along. This organization helps truly indigent people in countries across the world get pacemakers free of charge. Many of them will live very sad lives. Some die. WE can make a difference with just $1.00 at a time. With over 9,000 members we can raise $10,000 easily. I encourage to check out the website, watch the video and then make your donation. Then send the message to all your friends on e-mail, Facebook and twitter! Together we can change some lives!

I was sad as well that it didn't work out that you could join us. Next year, if not sooner we will get together again! The Pacer Chick Society is not exclusive! Anyone can join and for you guys... there now is the Pacer studs that you can participate in! Just ask Gary about it... he has the honor of being one of the first members along with Blake!

Now as far as the website is concerned... I will go there now and paste it into here.

That's the address above. As I was saying earlier, I had to run to catch my plane home. At this very moment I am on my bed getting ready to enjoy a much needed nap. :-) It's been a fabulous trip, wonderful friends and I can hardly wait till the next one!

P.s. Blake maybe you can repost the link and more information for the Pmacemaker club? Thanks for everything, Susie

Website for Heartbeat International

If you could please post the website for Heartbeat International, it would be helpful. I could not find it in the links.
A search put me to an anti-abortion site so I would like the correct site to pass along. I have a LARGE network who I am certain would help. Judi

You know you're wired when...

Airport security welcomes you.

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
