blood marrow downer

I have been picked to donate bone marrow! As ecstatic as I am/ was the bad news was a complete downer. I was a match to save a life, yet having a defibrillator and pacemaker at the age of 26 denies me from being able to help. Utilitty locating equipment

Hi folks, hope everyone is well

I was recently hired to work for a contracting company locating utility lines(gas, cable, phone, hydro, water) Having not started yet I am a little worried about the equipment affecting the pacemaker. It's pretty low wattage(around 12 watts I think) and where the signal comes from is about 3-4 feet away from my device. It's electromagnetic equipment like this

I am concerned that any closeness to a WiFi computer will cause interference with a pacemaker.(Which I have yet to have fitted) Is there a limit to how long a computer can be operated at a time. I am looking for information or recommendations for a device to measure electromagnetic interference. I will be having a Boston Scientific ICD implanted May the 20th. I have a Samsung GalaxyS4 smartphone and a Kindle with a Kindle cover (magnet closure that puts the Kindle into sleep mode)

shotgun use

I am having a ICD installed week after next. It will be implanted on my left side, or I should say that is the side they want to implant it on. I am a sporting clays shooter and just recently found out (by accident) that I will no longer be able to shoot because I shoot left handed and the dr says it will or could damage the device and/or leads. Disney Rides

Ok Disney Fans! I am going to Disney World in 20 days. I have been reading threads trying to find out for sure what rides to avoid with my pacemaker. It's a Versa DR Pacemaker Model #VEDR01. I keep reading different information. Has anyone been to Disney and ridden any of these rides and experienced any problems? Tomorrowland Speedway, Thunder Mountain Railroad, or The Great Movie Ride. Interference from riding in a van

A solar storm?!

This whole alien pacemaker thing in my chest is kind of wearing off, except for today, when it felt like that little sucker was trying to get born. We are going to Disney World in Florida in a month and I was wondering if there were any rides there that have caused interference with pacemakers. Magic Bands at Disney World

Hello! I will be traveling to Disney World next month and we will be wearing magic bands with RFI technology to get onto rides, get into our hotel room, pay for meals, etc..... They said that we can change to another card when we arrive that uses different technology but won't interact with the park when they send out information like the magic band does. Another RFI Question... Cell Tower

I've looked up and read that cell towers probably won't affect the latest pacemakers. Yet, I haven't heard of any experience with close proximity to them (hours of exposure at a time).

pacemaker pulse generator problem

Has anyone had pacemaker interference from the home electric system, power lines, faulty wiring or a home security system's motion sensors (infrared sensor lights).

I just got my second pacemaker in 18 months because my first one malfunctioned causing pacemake induced tachycardia.

I had fast heartbeats caused by my pacemaker not my heart.

Now I'm worried that the same thing is happening again because when I got home I started having the same symptoms again.
