Good day Club,
I'm new to the forum and battery power, but thrilled to have stumbled upon it and become a member.
Today's question concerns Fitness Activity Devices and Med ID Bracelets utilizing QR Code Scanning Technology. Has anyone had interference issues with either?
I'm considering a MyID⢠Medical Bracelet by ENDEVR and the Surge Fitness Super Watch by Fitbit.
What I'm curious about is whether any of the following features could pose a probl...

Hello! I haven't been on here in ages and I'm so glad I'm back :-)
So for Christmas I got a fabulous new laptop, and I just noticed two quite strong magnets in it. Its an ASUS convertible, and the magnets are on either side of the mouse scroll thing, and Im just a bit concerned. They're fairly strong magnets, attracts a spoon.... Should I be worried? Its not like I have it across my chest, but I dunno ...
Lots of Love!

Has any member been advised that the use of a MacBook pro retina laptop or an I-pad may interfere with pace- maker functions. The quick start instructions suggest that medical advice should be sought on this matter. This is only apparent after the goods have been purchased and the box opened.
There is some inconclusive discussion on the web about interference from I-pads if operated too close to an implanted pace-maker.

I was making doggie treats in our dehydrator yesterday when I started having discomfort in pacemaker area. Called lab and they thought it possibly was pacing and that is why the feeling. I was uncomfortable all night, finally taking x-tra strength Tylenol for aching.
My dual lead pacemaker was implanted 11/20 due to heart block which became total block while implant was being done.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Anyone have any data regarding the use of Amateur Radio equipment with an ICD? I have my equipment that can put out 40 - 100 Watts of RF in both CW, digital communication, and various modulations that are common to radio usage.
Some of the bigger radio can push 1500 watts for minutes at a time. If any of this hits the ICD over the "air" what can happen?
Lots of "wives tales" exist but no clear recommendations.
Interesting for us radio geeks .....

Does anyone have experience with noise-cancelling headphones which do not interfere with a dual-lead pacemaker?

I work in an electrical store. . . . next to the doors which are electrical security.
Is this a good move?
I honestly didn't think it really mattered. . . bit like not using your mobile phone at the petrol station. Chances are so slim, but people have to make such an issue out of it!?!
Can someone please message? . . . Some honest answers. Am I on my own on this? Feel so stupid

I have a friend who also has a pacemaker (I don't know what type). She is afraid to use the treadmill because she worries that there might be magnets in the controls (for calories burned, steps, miles etc) that will cause her pacemaker to "act up". I have never been told not to use a pacemaker (as long as you don't exercise too strenuously). I don't know if her doctor recommended not using a treadmill or if she is afraid to use it.

Hi. Have always had trouble sleeping and even more so after getting implanted with a CRT-D in August. In fact, I hardly had a good night's sleep from August to October!
Came across the Philip Stein sleep bracelet at the watch display. Want to try it (early selfie Christmas gift) but i Googled a review which says pacers can't use them. Or heart disease patients.
Any thoughts? Am seriously wanting to ask my EP. Previously I used the Withings Pulse, Fitbit Flex and the Ja...

What precautions should I take around a microwave oven?
Should I avoid standing too close? Are their any brands that
are problematical? This is the one thing I have yet to re-
solve and therefore I am still uncomfortable around them.
