I just joined the club today so I don't know my way around yet and this is my first post. Likely this topic has been discussed elsewhere but my clumsy use of the search algorithm was in vain. I am the owner of a Medtronic Percepta CRT-P MRI that was installed on the left side in Dec 2022. I had rotator cuff surgery on this shoulder in 2020, the result of a bench press injury. Now it seems osteo arthritis is at work there, the investigation thereof requires...
Does anyone use either iPods or wireless headphones with their pacemaker. I'm new to this. Got my PM in Jan. Still adjusting and trying to learn all the "don't s".
Has anyone had a BRAVO test? It's a GI test to check for acid reflux. A capsule I'd put on your esophagus to measure acid reflux. The capsule falls off in 48 hours and is eliminated.
or have you had any other tests for acid?
Hi, my wife had 2 cable pacemaker installed 3 years ago due to AV full block. She is pacemaker dependent. During dental treatment, the pacemaker is put in asynchronous mode so that the devices do not interfere. It's annoying that to get it asynchronous each dental session. I consulted with different cardiologist. He said that there is no need, with recent technologies there is no need to set asynchronous mode while dental treatment. Anyone have similar experience? Thanks for your res...
Hi, I have a medtronic pacemaker (it is in bipolar mode - I think that's relevant to my question based on my research thus far!). I am considering buying a home that is adjacent to high voltage transmission lines (230kV). The backyard literally backs up to the transmission lines/right of way, so they would be very close. Would this be a concern for my pacemaker? I have found some articles and comments here and elsewhere that it is fine to pass under these...
Thank you, Gemita.
I'm unable to find an individual reply button for resposes to my question from yesterday, so I'll just send a big "Thank you" to Tracy E, Lavender, Agent 86x and Old Male for all the great advice. It's very helpful. If anyone out there can point me to a "reply" button here, please pass it along.
I had a pacemaker put in November 27, 2022. I have a medtronic model W1DRO1 with 2 leads. Does anyone out there have a problem with their pacemaker using a riding lawnmower. I will check with my doctor and see what he says but I was wondering if any of the pacemaker club has had a problem.
I got a Biotronik dual chamber pacemaker implant last Thursday (March 2nd) and I'm still getting familiar with all the does and don'ts of living with it.
What I'm confused about here is the power tool restrictions, mainly gas powered ones. We live on 2 1/2 acres of trees, brush, rocks, critters ( well, you get the picture). I have a gas powered weed whacker, 2 gas powered chain saws, a gas powered pole saw and a multitude of electric power...
Will slot games in a casino cause problems?
We have a NuWave portable induction cooker. My husband is the only one who uses it. It sits on our countertop but is only plugged in when in use. He also buys the specific pans that work with the cook top. If this system is not plugged in can it still cause me a problem if I am near the cook top or the pans which hang above my stove?
75 and work full time around electrostatic products and electrical equipment.
I need a heart valve replacement (TAVR) but they say I have to have a pacemaker first and it's scheduled for Feb. 17th, 2023.
Concerned that my employer may have an issue with my working around sensitive product we coat. We us ionizors and wear antistatic jackets and foot straps. Is there any type of a vest I could wear to protect myself and the product we make an...

Could it be the pacemaker ?
Hi I had a tooth taken out last Wednesday and been taking paracetamol 5 days now to ease the pain.I am on 60mg of Edoxaban and wondering if there is any other stronger painkiller I could take till the pain settles down? Thanks
For the younger, female members with pacemakers/ ICDs I'm not sure if you've come across the same problems when getting ready to start a family.
If you plan on breastfeeding or expressing then it's recommended you have a breast pump. Newer breast pump designs lean towards being 'in-bra' with the motor sitting on top of the collection cups as a whole unit. This leaves the motor practically resting where a pacemaker or ICD would normally be implanted. Therefore n...
My mom has tachicardia. She gets tired fast and can't do chores for long. 7 years ago she had ICD installed. She has double chamber pacemaker from St Jude and I think it is model Endurity DR PM2160 or PM2162. I am not sure.
She is currently trialing hearing aid Unitron Moxi B7-R RIC and she experiences increased heart rate and feels not so well only when connected to a tablet through Bluetooth. The hearing aid is at least 16 centimeters away from ICD which is supposed to...
Every day I experience my heart beating really hard for a minute. I know exactly the time it will happen as it is always 23 hours and 59 minutes after last one. I find it quite uncomfortable and need to cough during episode. This has been going on for at least 3 months but could be longer as gets earlier by a minute each night. It is currently at 22.10. I don't want to feel a nuisance ringing the hospital. Should I be concerned?
My PM has been installed for 3 days and I have been reading the Medtronic owners manual. I am a remote pilot and a metal fabricator.
I was wondering if I can buy clothes to protect my PM from interference that comes from the remote controllers that I use to control the drones that I fly during missions. The Medtronic Manual says keep antennas 6 inches away from the PM. Knowing me, I will forget that during most missions because the controller is strapped around my neck.
Had a call from the suppliers rep ... not receiving signal batch.
Was advised that Touch-lamp alongside bed was notorious for this problem.
All the best
Have a question about electronic tens pulse massager. How far away should I be if my husband is using it. Thanks

Your friends want to store MP3 files on your device.
Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
