Hello! I have recently had my first replacement surgery to fit a dual lead pm and the box seems extremely visible which i'm really disappointed about. I wasn't told this would be the case prior to surgery (my previous pm was under the muscle and entirely non-visible - except the scar) so i'm finding it a bit upsetting and hard to accept.

Pacemaker and afib
I had a pacemaker installed in May 2020. Felt so good. Still was going in and out of afib for a day or two but not feeling bad. Recently I have been in afib for over 3 weeks and feel lousy. . .tired, shortness of breath. Had an echocardiogram Monday to see if things have changed since the last one a year ago. EP is suggesting a cardio version to get me out of afib. So discouraged after feeling so great since I got the pacemaker--a Biotronic.

Fatigued
Hello pacers, I have been feeling very fatigued and winded 2 ever since I had a pacemaker implant. I thought initially it may have been the side effects of the surgery itself then as it continued on I thought perhaps it's the medication. I persevered and now that I'm off all meds including no blood thinners, I still feel night quite right. Does anyone else feel the same symptoms and know the reason for this trigger ? I am a very healthy & active 68 year old male dentist. I was recently advised to get a pacemaker for Bradycardia. I had absolutely no symptoms but heart rate would constantly come up as low as 35 on physical exams. I was given a holter monitor for 24 hours and later told there is a complete AV block. Heart muscles are otherwise healthy as evidenced by an echocardiogram done today. Very ambivalent about the pacemaker. What should I do?

Hi everyone! I have a brand new Medtronic Azure pacer, two weeks old today. And today, his ugly stepsister showed up in the form of a DVT in my arm. So I'm panicking a little bit. My hubby is 72 had ICD just put in 4 days ago. He is left handed so it is on right side for convenience. I know everyone is different and it takes time but do you honestly feel better, or notice any change. He has been so worn down and exhausted for so long, I don't think he is seeing alot of light at the end of tunnel. Also like alot of men he wants results now, patience is needed.

I've had a CRT-P fitted 12 days ago and have notice these last 3 days that my heart rate is pacing up 120bpm on basic walking around without strenuous activity. My device has been set to 70bpm so when I'm walking it does feel uncomfortable as I can feel my heart pounding away.

I am not sure if what I am feeling is real or not. I seem to have a lot of tightness in my neck muscles mostly on the side of the pacemaker. A hollow sensation in the middle of my chest, headaches, and I have no energy.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
