Hi all,  have any one here heard since its FDA approval in July when this new dual chamber leadless PM will become offered on a more general level around the US? and will it also be offered to younger/middel aged patients since it has a retriveable function? 3 year old - congenital heart block

Swelling

I had a CRT-D device implanted 3 weeks ago. Everything seems fine except for some swelling above my collar bone at the base of my neck. An ultrasound sound was done and a blood clot was ruled out. At my post op earlier this week my nurse said it may have been caused by an injury when my arm was moved during surgery. This really doesn't feel like a muscle injury. Has anyone else experienced this type of swelling after an implant?

New to the club.

Micro device

I have a medronic pacer for rate drop. Installed 2009 and it's still working although they keep saying 1 to2 years left. I'm hoping eventually they'll switch  to a micro device that's not visible.  The one I have is big.. anyone know if a micro would be suitable?

Also if so, how is the process to remove the old style and put in the micro device?

Roller coaster

There is a simple wooden rollercoaster in New Hampshire at a park called Storyland. It is a wooden roller coaster that uses magnetic force to start it. It's approximately 1 1/2 minutes ride. I have a micra implanted pace maker. My dr is on vacation so I couldn't ask him. Has anyone else gone on a coaster like this? Is it safe?

2 months post op of CRT-D, impatient

It's been 2 months since my CRT-D implant, and I'm not really feeling much of a difference. Mostly less irregular heartbeats/slow rhythms. I'm 58 years old and 9 years ago I was diagnosed with CHF and had a 30-35 EF at that time. Last Sept. it was down to 10-15, so the process of getting my ICD was set into motion. RV lead/ablation/pericarditis

I have been taking Colchicine since my appointment August 24th for "post ablation pericarditis". In the office I was having so many PVCs the machine was alerting for pauses and bradycardia 35-51 bpm. I called yesterday because of continued chest/back pain and some tachy episodes. I'm also having large drops (30-40) in heart rate while upright that I am symptomatic during. insurance and reading the monitor

I received my PM on an emergency basis and got assigned the cardiologist who was on duty that day in a hospital an hour from where I live.  I've been satisfied with his care so far.  But I recently realized that every quarter when my home monitor uploads my information, and I get a report via the patient portal associated with his office, I am getting charged $50 each time as an insurance co-pay, the same I would have to pay if I visited his office in person.  $200 a year f...

So many emotions

Subcutaneous Tethering

About 50% of my pacemaker is under the skin as opposed to under the muscle. An area of about 1" x1" has become permanently tethered to the skin. Hospital says the risks involved in reseating the device make it preferabl to leave it as it is. Occasionally the area gets bruised if I'm un lucky enough to knock it on something. Any bruising disappears after a few days.

I'd welcome any comments from others with this condition with regard to the longer term safety.
