I am posting the following for a friend who is in the ICU, she just had her 3rd ablation and she is going in and out of her heart rate. She has been passing out quite a few times and they need to put in a pacemaker but she is allergic to titanium and nickle and silcone, i guess she can get a special make pacer but it will take time and she has to get a pacemaker soon as she is going in and out of passing out. Does anyone know of any kind to pacer that doesnt include the above meta...

Not sure this is a complication but I never noticed it before day after insertion in 3/19. I get the sensation of earbuds in both ears, so real I reach to remove headset before getting out of chair or to answer phone. I was a medical transcriptionist for 30 years, retiring 12/15. I have had tinnitus for many years with no relief but now, the more tired I get, the sensation of the earbuds is strong. Cardiologist said ask ENT but I can't schedule appt to coincide with sensation....

Hi All,
I am three years out from my pacer implantation for heart block and artial tachycardia. I got a sharp pain in my left clavicle last summer and was found to have a subclavian dvt. Saw a hematologist for a work up that included a dx of brachial vein stenosis. Was referred to a vascular surgeon who did not endorse any intervention for the vein. My left arm gets really sore and swells and has not improved. Was recently diagnosed with venous insuficiency in the left arm without...

I a 72 year old, fit female. In January this year I had a PM fitted and I was discharged the same day not having an x ray which I had been told to anticipate a few days previous. After 10 days the one lead was suddenly stopped working to full capacity. I was told the problem was either a faulty lead or the consultant had screwed in the lead too tightly. Another procedure was needed a few weeks later. The lead was tested and found to be o.k. I was not t...

I got a two lead PM put in a week ago for low heart rate. Within a few days I developed painful deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in my left arm. I have three clots starting in my. Subclavical vein going down my arm with much swelling, pain, and limited motion. I've been on eliquis for three days. Has anyone else had this, and how long should I expect it to take before I feel better?! The PM seems to be doing fine.

I am just five days post PM surgery. I notice that my stomach growls constantly, and yesterday I noticed jerking like seizures jolts in my hands like what you do when you are starting to fall asleep. Has anyone experienced something like this?

I have had my PM for 7 years. My AF is increasing. I am totally asymtomatic. My Cardiologist took me off Propafenone because it wasn't working. Now he is talking about Amiodarone . Is anyone on this drug? I understand there are a lot of side effects.

Just going to have vaccine of this covid-19 pandemic supplied by our agency. I do not have the idea of what brand we will have but I am worried if there is any complications to those with heart problem especially that I am a dextrocardia with a heart block. My heart rate without the pace maker ranges from 0-28 only and from time to time my heart stops beating without the aid.
With this, I am worried of the side effect if ever we will get vaccinated soon. I can't contact my doc...

On March 15 2021 I was fitted with biventricular device because I have CHF moderate to severe, one week or so it was fine, I got energy I started to go on my walks was feeling good, but about 10 days after that I started to have high rate of heart beats like racing, started to retain water in my lungs, belly and ankles, it got bad so I checked myself into the hospital and I'm still there as I write this. So far no one really knows why I'm having these issues with retain...

This is my first post, hoping someone can impart some knowledge! I was fitted with a dual chamber pacemaker in October 2020 for heart failure, asystole, syncope etc. due to Sick Sinus Syndrome with no other regulators in the heart backing it up.
In January 2021 I was back in hospital for checks because I was having pre-syncope episodes. After two days in the hospital, I'd only had two very minor episodes, which the ECG did not pick up, so the conclusion was that it w...

I did a little search on this forum about GERD and found some old posts, but I am wondering if someone has more current information or experience.
I am having more episodes of what I think is diaphramatic stimulation, as evidenced my twitching of my abdomen. It has been mainly positional, such as when sit with my knees drawn up whilst watching TV. But this last week, it is happening more often, usually when seated. It is not painful, per se, but it is uncomfortable and distracting...

Frequently when I am walking up and down hills my chest starts to hurt. After a couple of minutes the pain stops and i can keep going without further problems. The top # on my pacemaker is set at 150bpm. This never happens when I am working out at the gym with a trainer. Ekg shows that my rhythm changes for several seconds when my HR reaches around 150. Could the two be related? If so, why would my rhythm change.
Thanks, Jim Owings

So I am an idiot 😢. I've had my pacemaker for just over a year. Recently started going to the chiropractor for severe neck issues causing neurological itching of my arms which is enough to drive a person crazy 😜 She uses an activator. Pushes hard with the metal activator and clicks it... On Friday she adjusted my shoulders and I totally forgot about the pacemaker! I don't think it was directly on the pacemaker but above, maybe hitting the edge a bit. this was the...

I had my PM procedure in late Dec 2020, all has gone well, back to normal activties and feeling for the most part good with the exception of feeling somewhat "clumsy". Not dizzy but just a little off which seems to be effecting my Golf game (tragic)! My PM is set to 70 which is on the high side.
Anybody else expierence anything like this?
Thanks
