I have 46 years old and already served a month with my PM implant because a degenerative disease of AV node. Yesterday made me a gamagramma, but it turned out that there is:

Got pacemaker 5 days ago

I just got a pacemaker last Wednesday and have been lightheaded ever since.  I was okay coming home at 6:00 but the next day through today, I am constantly lightheaded.  I think my pacemaker needs an adjustment.  Has anyone else had this experience and how was it fixed?

Ventricular spikes

Just had an EP visit and was told that I was having a handful of ventricular spikes. 121 to be exact. Hardly a handful to me. When I asked why, The EP has no idea and said that some people just get worse after a PM implant. He then walked out of the room bc he has other patients to see. What am I do to with this information?  What does it mean?  
Also, upon implant my heart was paced at 67%, then it dropped to 47% and now it is paced at 27%. What does this change mean...

Does pacemaker control the power of the beat ? or just how fast ? 
Cause whenever I get hungry like in early morning or at hunger times , I feel that heart pouncing and touching chest cavity ( I feel heart beating ) ..

Bug zappers

Is anyone aware of interference or complications with bug zappers-you know the kind for mosquitoes, etc.

Only clarifying that because there was something online that mentioned zappers but it was a parasite zapper that you apply to your body?

I'm strictly speaking of the average bug zapper. I can't seem to find any clear message on this.

atrial fib and pacemaker

Good evening and thank you for your time,

Just a quick question in regard to current Covid outbreak and vaccine. have any of you had issues with the phyzer vax in regard to it causing hear palpitations or affecting pace maker, i`ve heard the vaccine can cause miocarditus or pericardittus but i think in only young people and I`m 71 now and have a dual lead pacermaker biontronik along with permanent AF, hope someone might be able to shed some light on this for me as to if you have had any...

Swelling after insertion

Hi all! Well I had my third lead placed and device upgraded. UPGRADE DUAL PM TO CRT-P (Left). The procedure went pretty well but I have a good deal of swelling under or around the device.I have been on warfarin therapy for decades for valve replacement surgery and I imagine it is a hematoma. I saw my surgeons nurse who looked at it and was not overly concerned. I need to keep an eye on it for troublesome changes or signs of infection of course. The surgeon said it will take 3 weeks...

tachycardia from palpitations

I am 5 weeks post-implant for complete nerve bliock and was doing well until a week ago when I started experiencing intermittent rapid heart rates (138 -145) with chest and throat discomfort while bending over and intermittently when walking. I have slowed my pace of walking this week but that does not seem to help.

My resting heart rate has dropped since the procedure and is now at 59 (it was as high as 72).

Hi my docs wants to fit a bi ventricular pacemaker because I have had a new heart valve and two ablations for af that haven't worked so they want to turn off the electric and run on pacemaker only my concerns are is this safe does it shorton life I've asked these questions but they were very matter of so about it just would like to speak to someone who has had it done

How to be less emotional and move on?

Hi, I'm desperate to move on with life. But I cannot stop hating the fact that I have the pacemaker at 20s. I mean I had my heart rate at 30 but I ended up implanting the pacemaker because of some other surgery- got cysts in my ovaries. Life surprised me a lot. To sleep—perchance to dream. Ay, there’s the rub!

It appears, after my PM insertion, possibly an increase in nocturnal teeth-grinding or possible TMJ, whatever... is there a relationship between pacemaker placement and  jaw and teeth pain? Symptoms lessen and mostly disappear upon rising. Could it be positional, I was strictly a left-side sleeper until the pacemaker now forced to be right-side.

Muscle pain back and shoulder on pacemaker side.

I have had my pacemaker for about a year and a half. It is to correct my arrithmia. It is working well but recently I have developed a problem where I have a lot of muscle cramping in my left shoulder back and neck. The muscle cramping moves around from shoulder across back and up the neck. It is a tightening of the muscle and causes a lot of pain.

Has anyone experiences this or similar symptoms? Would love to hear from you.

Pacemaker

I cannot persuade my partner to chat to you all so I do hope you don't mind me relaying his problem as I am obviously worried.

Tonight he moved out of his chair a got a pain in the pace maker area and on moving his arm around got the same pain. He tested it with his fingers and it was still there. Has anyone else had this problem? If yes what did you do ? bearing in mind it is the week end and the hospital is not open.

Swollen Turbinate from lead obstruction or thrombosis

Good afternoon, 

I have a swollen Turbinate in my right nostril . I saw an ENT who diagnosed me with rhinitis. I asked him if it could have anything to do with my pacemaker and he said no, not event related. However the Turbinate vascular structure drains into the brachiocephalic vein which is right next to pacemaker lead insertion. I have a follow up appointment with my cardiologist.

palpitations during exercise

pacemaker since 2007 i notice that sometimes when i do exercise on the gym like threadmill and stairs machine i get this ramdom palpitations should i worry ? this is the first time i have felt them. also im about to see the pacemaker check in 10 days ..what does the settings on my device do thats the part i dont understand for example i heard somehting like 140 so what does that mean that my heart can only go 140? i dont have any other symptons while exercise only the palpitations any ideas ?...
