getting ready for a new angel

Hi Dear Friends,

This time tomorrow morning my pacemaker replacement surgery should be well underway. It is about 8AM now and I am scheduled to be at the hospital by 6AM.

It has been 13 years since I did this. My current pacemaker has served me very well. I've always thought of it as an angel on my shoulder. Now it is time for a new angel! I hope this one with all the new bells and whistles will help me live a full life just as well.

I have to back track abit beofre I get into the title/subject line. I have had a heart condition since birth, and ended up having two open heart surgies as a child. I always knew that I would need a third - it was only a question of when. 37 want normal life back

Hi michele susan again still not getting any answers .I have a Guaint Ultra Signia model 1290 FDA said it was recalled in sept 2005 mine was implanted in sept 2006. I am still in pain passing out chest pain ,pain in arm you can feel to me like the lead in poking out on top of pacemaker and on side cant raise arm above my head . guidant said my seriel numbers isnt on recall .........................................................had cadionet moniter on for 21 days .doctors said everything oka...

Merry Christmas from Iowa

Merry Christmas everyone! My hubby and I are headed to Shenandoah tomorrow to have Christmas with my daughters and their families, then off to Farragut to have Christmas with my hubby's family. We spent a loud and fun Christmas eve with my family in Atlantic. I'm sure by Wednesday I will be ready for some R&R!!! LOL....

I'm thankful this year I feel good and can enjoy the day with the families! And thankful that I have found this sight!

Heavy heartbeat?

I have a pacer and I have noticed that I feel a heavy "beat" sometimes. It has been happening more often now and I am just wondering if anyone out there has had the same problem. Kind of like someone has turned on the bass of my PM(LOL).
