Well, John Handley High School Judges took on the Millbrook High School Pioneers today and we won-AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was our Hall of Fame game and the speaches were kinda boring :) but whatever- we still kicked their butts!! Score was 28-26, it was close. It was freezing cold, even with those bulky uniforms. My face almost froze off!

Unbelievable I have been converseing with a gentleman from Michigan that just had it done, and results are astonishing. Wish I had the money to do it. He is telling some ways. Food for thought, it starting to seem to me that this country doesnt give a rats you know what about us. Or the sooth sayers that stop some things.

Does anyone have a problem with facial flushing as a side-effect of either Flecainide or Bisoprolol (a beta-blocker)? This happens to me after a warm (not hot shower); it's there when I waken up warm in bed and it flares up simply by rubbing in face cream. It's mainly across my cheekbones, my nose and the middle of my forehead. Does anyone have any tips on how to keep this at bay, please? Kind wishes to all, Rudolph (aka Wannabe)

Hi all.......While weaning off of b/b (25 to 12,5) i can honestly report a feeling of "all is good again" Lasted two weeks and then had a slight afib after exercise. Took a 25 (old dose) and immediately began feeling the familiar side effects. This is more than likely a "rebound" effect that will continue as I wean off again. Isn't it curious that the drug companies 'create" a drug that most people think they may need for life due to this cycle, a drug that creates a need for other drugs jus...

What kind of anesthesia have you had for a generator change? I was told I would just get local anesthesia around the pacemaker site. I am a very nervous person and I don't think I can do it that way. I think I will need some IV sedation, just to make me not so aware. I don't want to be "knocked out" but I don't want to be fully awake either. I have a choice of two doctors, one who only uses local and one who gives IV sedation.

Hi there. I'm new to this board. I'm 29 years-old with two wonderful children. During my second pregnancy I was experiencing severe lighheadedness and dizziness and was told by my wonderful OB that it would go away after I had the baby and that it was just my hormones. I have the baby and I still have the symptoms so I go to a cardiologist and he does some tests and had me where a holter monitor for 30 days. On day 26 my heart paused for 7.5 seconds and my heart rate had been in the low 20'...

I have found myself listed on the M.T.P.C. list. That's right the Missing The Pacemaker Check, list. I keep forgetting to call them on the day assigned. I get busy, I feel fine and then I simply forget! I get these frantic calls from the Cardiologist that I missed the Pacemaker phone check. This time they asked me "Who takes care of me"? What? I asked? I'm at work, I replied. I take care of me. They must have been thinking I was getting senile and forgetful because I am old. My goodness,...

I am home after getting my ICD and leads removed yesterday. The surgery went really well. The atrial lead came right out without any problem and the ventricle lead had to be lasered. I'm sort writing much right now because of swelling and discomfort but,...I'm Happy :-)

I have been off the site for a while, Federal jury duty, but that is another story.
I see the the club now has an abbreviations tab under information, very nice. Although it doesn't include Electric Frank's 'GB'.
I will retire my abbreviation list postings.

Blood pumping backwards??

I just talked to the nurse about my Echocardiogram on 9/30. She told me that it is normal and also said something the Echo showed that the blood is pumping backwards. I asked her what caused it, she told me it is from aging and it is normal and have nothing to worry about. From aging?? I am not even 40 yet!
So anyone know what that condition is called? I am due to have the pacer taken out in a month and I need to know everything beforehand.
