I have a question....i asked something the other day and got great answers about my 2 year old w/pm....he goes to the doctor on the 7th to address the issue of the coughing while exercising. however someone said something in the reply that struck a nerve and hoping someone can also add something....when my son was born he had that hole in his heart that is common that usually closes up by the time they are a couple of months old....my son's didnt close up...they said it's completely no...

Hi everyone
I had my pacemaker put in on 12/18/07 , i have had constant pain since then and the cardio nurse told me it was healing fine ??? i have noticed the last two days it seems like it is bulging out a lot! i can tell something is happining b/c my skin feels really tight. Has anyone had this happen?

Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site and am very glad i found it. I am a fellow pacing patient but i also happen to be a cardiac physiologist here is the UK. I actually perform the tests, help implant devices and work in follow-up clinics. My experience has been very much like the ones i have read here, except i have had a bit extra knowledge to freak me out! But i want to help here. If anyone wants to, please feel free to message me with anything you think i may be able to help with...

Simply wanted to say Thank You to everyone for the honest, caring, supportive and humorous culture in the Pacemaker Club. This is my respite from the rest of the world. Looking back on my life I was so happy growing up. A very grateful kid to the simplest things. I remember waking up early in the summer mornings. I used to get up and help my Nana with the farm ( May she rest in peace). Working and playing for 10 to 12 hours straight. Not ever worrying about my heart. I used to play all the sports as a kid.
