Hi folks

Our little one passed away yesterday. We called her Bluey because she wore a blue jumper. The weather has been so bad cold and frosty and now it is wet with a bad wind chill factor.
The sheep actually belong to the farm next door. Each year they give birth in the paddock next to our house. It is like a birthing ward with Ewes grunting and groaning just like us ladies giving birth. As we can hear them at night I just cannot bear it when the little ones get seperated...

Still in hot pursuit...of a diagnosis

Hello again everyone! I am still trying to get a diagnosis for my arm swelling and pain. I have since graduated to increased pain meds including motrin and percocet taken together. The swelling is no different. Been to a second ER by pacer guy. The ER staff read the pacer doc's notes (which include his denial of pacer involvement in my symptoms which started after it was implanted) and went on that. I was sent home again with only additional pain meds....and, by the way, a documented fever now.<...

Free Replacement

My Grandfather was implanted a pacemaker from Shree Pacetronix, an Indian company almost 8 years back and is working fine.He wants to move to USA . I want to know if the pacemaker company's in USA also give Free Life Time Warranty replacement there on the Pacemakers implanted because the company in India does. If any one knows let me know as most of the companies do give Free Replacment in India but I think if you are living in USA or Europe they do not provide the same warranty. If they don't...

Yet another reason I love my pacemaker

We have recently completed a trip. I love my Pacemaker. At the airport the line projection was almost an hour. However, since I have my special patdown procedure, no waiting. We went to special assist and got head of line privledges, even over all of the special first class passangers.

YEAH. See it is cool sometimes.

Bastille Day.

Hello Everyone.

Today in France, is Bastille day, our version of the 4th of July. Here is a little bit of history.

Bastille Day is the French national holiday, celebrated on 14 July each year. In France, it is called "Fête Nationale" ("National Holiday"), in official parlance, or more commonly "quatorze juillet" ("14th of July"). It commemorates the 1790 Fête de la Fédération, held on the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789; the storming of th...

Will I always be thinking about my pc?

Hi, I'm 49 and got my pc on June 28th. I am not so aware of it at home but am leary about going out. When i have gone out I feel the need to put my hand over my pc as I feel it 10 times more. I feel the weight, skin tight and slight pains. Is this normal? I haven't been back for my 1st pc check yet so I feel stupid asking them these things as I'm sure they think it's all in my head. Probably right about some of it. How long before you guys started driving? I have MVP,CHF, restrictive cardiomathy...

Hello Everyone....Here's My Story

Hello Everyone,

Let me tell you all about myself.

I am 40 years old, weigh 211(down from 245 last year), and have had CFS for the last 8 years. During this time I had the swollen lymph nodes, pressure in head, vertigo, forgetfulness, trouble finding the right word, unrelenting fatigue, palpatations, low blood pressure, and low temperature.

My primary care physician never, and I mean never, requested any tests for me other than the complete blood count, thyroid, a...

Cellphones, radios

Had a CRT-D installed one month ago. Before the procedure I asked the doctor to try my two way ham radio to see it it interfered. It did not; however I don't know how close to the device the radio was when he transmitted with it. I will ask next appointment.

The radio transmits on 144 Mc with an output of 5 watts.

Cell phones are typically 300 milliwatts so the (my) radio has 15 times as much RF output. And cell phones are on 800 Mc or in the GHz range, for whatever differe...

? over sensitive

Hi all, I will try to keep my posting as small as possible as I vent my concerns and appeal for help.
I have had an attack of ill feeling (skipped beats) in my chest and was concerned enough to go to the hospital as they became more frequent and repeatative over a 48 hour period. I could feel an irregular pulse and became concerned. I am only pacing 5 or 6% of the time, having the pacer inserted 6 months ago. The hospital took bloods after assessing my vitals. All looked good except fo...

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes. As you know we live in country Australia. I am truly blessed with so many friends via this wonderful site.

Pacemakers/cell phones

Hey everyone...first post here.

I am 32 and after a lifetime of heart complications due to a congital heart defect I had an ablasion, a patch to fix a valve, a stint to widen a different valve and a pacemaker all 3 weeks ago. I am new here so im not sure how easy it is to search so forgive me if this has been asked and answered.

Do pacemakers affect cell phones? ie feedback etc?

Can I still enjoy roller coasters and things of that nature?

Thanks...

Pacemaker replacement in patients who already have AV node ablation

I have a biventricular synchronising pacemaker with only two of the 3 possible leads fitted due to incurable atrial fibrillation. The two leads that I have had fitted are pacing the ventricles at between 70 and 120 beats per minute. Has anyone had thier pacemaker replaced with a similar condition as I am a little concerned that my heart will stop dead when the leads are removed from my old pacemaker and that could cause sudden death. I am of course pacemaker dependant due to the av node ablation...
