On your Birthday, you could.....Read a book, sing a tune, take a nap, get a massage, daydream, smell some flowers, meditate, take a walk, count your blessings.

Good evening All,
I hope everyone had a pleasent weekend. I'm wondering and finding some distrubing things out about trying to get more Life Insurance. What I have found is that we, (the collective we),
have a pre-existing fatal condition. Or so its been called by a couple of carriers I have spoken to. Which make us ineligable
for their particular coverage. Does anyone know or have a company that specifically provides coverage for us?
Thanks
Greg

Hey All,
Ok, so I just found this site today by a man who bought a tv from me - long story short he said I had to check out this site - so here I am!
On to the good stuff. I have two mechanical heart valves,, both are St. Jude. So you guess it. they make a rather loud ticking noise, and you get both of them synced sitting in a quiet church can drive someone batty as they discretly look around for wrist watches that are putting off a double "tick tick" sound. =)

Hi,
I'm a new pacemaker patient. My implant was done on 6/25. I get a little lightheaded sometimes. I think it's caused by the medicine I'm on. It lowers my BP. I have my first follow up appt on 7/16. Hopefully the lightheadedness will be taken care of then. Otherwise I feel great. The reason for the pacer was for tachy/brady syndrome. I never realized how bad I felt until the pacer was put in. I never thought I needed a pacer. I now know I did.

To Billie ( BlueAustralia ) July 12, 1942.
This is for you Billie.
If your world is warm and lovely, when the morning sun is bright.
If a rainbow follows cloudy skies, and makes your heart feel light.
If the people whom you love the most, surround you through the days.
If their laughter and their friendship, gives you joy in countless ways.
If you reach high to touch the stars, and make your dreams come true.
You'll know the many special things that...

To ( Hevtalbot ) July 12, 1979.
When I woke up this morning, I ran to the window and peeked outside to remind the sun that today is a special day:
" YOUR BIRTHDAY! "
And the sun smiled and promised to shine on you all day long: a present for you no matter where you are.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hi Pals
We had a good crossing on the ferry last Sunday. And, the most fantastic morning tea/breakfast with rewired aussie. Poor Kay, we couldn't ring her. Brian dropped his mobile in the dog's water bucket the day before and when I went to use mine the battery was dead. So, I am still full of apologies for waking up and getting my friend out of bed! (How to win friends and influence people)
It seems hard to believe that we have been away for a week already. We spen...

I have lupus and my baby has complete heart block. We brought him home but he became unwell and his heart rate dropped more. We had to rush him to hospital for a pacemaker fitted. He is getting better slowly but has some fluid on his chest. I am scared to bring him home and scared of his future with this thing in his chest. Has any new mum like me had these fears. I know i just need time to get used to it all it was a very traumatic time. I love him so much.

I wish to know why my EP didn't want to set the pacemaker to pace at rate 60? He wants it on 70. I have a terrible pacemaker syndrome. I've begged him for a year then he sets it down to 65.
I would like to learn or know why the pacemaker has to pace the Atria and ventricle sequentially?
If Sick Sinus Symptom or A-Fib happen, why can't just pace the Atria and leave the ventricle alone?
If the AV node not function, why can't just pace the ventricle and leave th...

Hello to all of my pacemaker friends! What a joy it is to be able to write to you this afternoon.
I was in a car accident on Monday morning after an episode of syncope while driving to work caused me to hit a tree. Although my car is totaled, luckily I was wearing my seatbelt and the airbags deployed, so I was not seriously injured. I was taken to our local emergency room and then life flighted by helicopter to the nearest trauma center because of the nature of the accident and my prolonged...

So, I did my chest workout tonight. Usual workout routine, but I've been gaining weight and strength again (proabably because I'm down to just 80 mg/day of sotalol), but I had the oddest/strangest feeling.
Where the ICD is, after my flat banch press (265 lbs 3 sets/8 reps), I had the oddest sensation. It felt like you were rubbing material like rope against rope. It's hard to describe, but that's what it felt like. Didn't hurt or anything, just felt odd. Now, maybe it was my shoulder...

Hello Everyone,
I just received my pacemaker on Friday July 3rd. I had dizzy spells and general spaciness. I had a tilt table done, and my heart stopped for sixteen seconds during the test. I was immediately given the pacemaker at that point.
I am an amateur musician, and I am wondering if there are any limitations on what equipment I can use. I play acoustic and electric guitar and bass. . Right now I don't own an amplifier, but was in the market when this occurred. Any li...
