gym & excess sweating

Hi everyone,
A couple of questions.
My pm is set at 70 on the bottom & 120 top rate. I'm joining a gym & wondered what happens whenI go over 120?

It is running at 80% for the top chambers & 4% for the bottom ones.

Since I have had it, I'm plagued by excessive sweating, mainly my head. It drips off my face & is very embarrassing! Anyone know the reason for tyhis & whether anything can be done to change it.
Many thanks,
Lizzie

pulsating "shocking" feeling

About 6 days ago I started getting annoyed by this pulsating feeling. Very hard to describe. Feels like a PVC would, like a strong beat. I dont feel it in chest though like anything palpitations cause. I feel it like in my hands and heads. If you have ever had high blood pressure and get that feeling of your pulse in your head, it feels much like that. Sometimes it is just one beat, sometimes it is 3 beats. Happens all day long at random times. It does not correlate with my ventricle rat...

ELECTRICALS

I'm 24 days out from a PM inserted. The past few days, I have had moments when above the PM site, it feels like a slight electric current, sort of a mini-shock lasting about 4-5 seconds. It's only above the PM site.

Whether the stove is on or not, when I'm in the cooking area of the kitchen, between the refrigerator and stove, I get dizzy. I can leave this area and it goes away. This has only been in the past week as well.

Now I stay away from the microwave, but this ha...

taking a step foward

Some of you guys know from my last post, I went into cardiac arrest at work and that is why I have my ICD, that happened on December 21st 2009, and now I'm preparing to return to work on Monday for the first time since my incident, I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, I'm over analyzing this a bit, but it's still very prevalent to me considering I just had surgery on the 5th of February 2010 but that being said I'm going for it wish me luck.

Radio Towers

I will be returning to work on Monday one week after my implant. About 100 yds from our building is a huge radio tower. Do I need to be concerned?

Yeah I survived!

Well I did it! I came home yesterday afternoon. And yes you all were right. The surgery was really easy. It was quick. I only had a couple glitches. I guess I was moving a lot on the table, so they decided to give me general anethesia and then soon after they were done they found that one of the leads came loose so I had to have a second surgery the next morning! I was not a happy camper. But they said "those things happen". Anyway, I'm just glad to be home and that it's over with. I wa...

Got my pacemaker on 2/24/10

I still can't believe that it happened to me. I am an extremely healthy 53 year old woman, not on any meds, and have an otherwise healthy heart. About 2 weeks ago I felt a little lightheaded after walking my dog that passed quickly. A week later it happened again, but this time it didn't pass quickly. The next day I went to the doctor and had a normal EKG, but he did arrange for me to get heart monitor for 2 weeks.

On Saturday, Feb 20 I really did not feel well and took my pulse it wa...

I'm Back and Skiing!!!

Hey, pacers!

Well, I'm back from my trip to Africa...just WONDERFUL! I also had no qualms in any airport about my pm nor in any other places I visited where security was an issue. It was great to get out there and enjoy life...isn't that what having a pm is all about?!

I have also been out skiing since being home because our weather has dumped some surprises on us. Nice! I was wondering from you other pacers out there who ski...do you wear any protective gear for your...

Cardiac Rehab

Anyone gone to cardiac rehab after a pacer was put in? My doctor is recommending it but we don't know if my insurance will pay for it because I don't have angina. He's suggesting it because I was hospitalized for 2 weeks and have very low blood pressure. I worked out 3-4 times a week before I got suddenly ill. I'm just wondering what to expect and if others have done it.

thanks,
Sherian

what is my pace maker’s future?

I’m 62 year old, female. I had a Medtronic pacemaker implanted at the beginning of the year. The first day after my operation, I was hearing and feeling heavy, thudding heart beats on my left chest and went to emergency room right away. My operation doctor reprogrammed my pacemaker. He shut off the lower chamber’s lead as a temporally solution and set the lower limited to 50. He said I had to go to operation room again for relocating the lead. Unfortunately two weeks later the lower chamber’s l...

As of tonight Taryn's fever is down and has been for almost 48 hours. The doctors feel that they might have fianlly hit the right combo with her antibiotics and are kicking this infection! She is still getting a BP medication because she is having difficulties maintaining her BP. She got her chest tube out today and she is on dia...

Still having heart palpations after Pacemaker

Well now I find out that my daughter (56) Pacemaker put in 4 weeks ago is having heart palpatations almost every day. I thought the Pacemaker was going to end this. I was at another site and they were messaging about heart palpations having something to do with menopause. And not one of those messages said anything about a Pacemaker. I suddenly wondered if a Pacemaker was necessary for my daughter - maybe her weird feelings and whatever else she went thru to get her to the Pacemaker could ha...
