That's right, I have found music for EVERYBODY here. If you see something on the list below that fits you, search it on YouTube.
1) If you are self conscious, hide everything, and only your closest friends/ family know about your ticker, check out "The Real Me" by Natalie Grant
2) If you are a pacemakerchick (sorry guys, I couldn't find one like this for you), look up "Anthem" by Superchick
3) If you have a doctor, family member, friends, etc. who you feel is re...

Hi, I am probably going to be a new member here. I was just told yesterday that I probably have ARVD (or Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia), and that once it is confirmed I will need a pacemaker. I am very scared and confused. I hope to find information, advice and support from this community. Thank you for letting me be part of it.

during in-office PM check... I figure you guys will have heard of that. They tried adjusting things, but couln't make them go away. They finally set something to 500 I think. They made it sound like it's no big deal. So it's cool? It doesn't cause any noticeable symptoms.
Thanks in advance for the information.

Hello Folks,
I have a question for any of you folks that may have had an epidural injection for lower back pain. The question id did you have any side effects, such as headache and irregular heart beat afterward. If you did, how long did it take for things to return to normal?
I had an injection Monday (6-1-09) and headaches and irregular heart rate have been something to behold since. The headache is a little better (maybe 25% less) today, but still enough to make...

Im now the proud owner of a 18.5 foot Skeeter fishing boat. The only catch my wife put on it was the Harley has to go, thats ok I havent been riding it, which makes her very happy, its bad enough thinking of my defib going off when I drive my truck let alone a bike. Have had it out 6 times now and it is fantastic, for a little while out there on the water I forget that Ive got half my heart damaged and have this machine inside of me watching every movement my heart makes, which is a good thing....

Well, my last post long disappeared, so I will start a new one. I finally got a call back from my doctor’s office the other day and they are having me come in on Monday for a medicated stress test. I have never had one of these done before and I know that my arteries are clear so not sure what to expect. Anyone ever have one of these done post pacemaker implant?
Have you had these symptons?

Hi,
Recently I have had a drop in blood pressure. Normally I was about 110/67. This past week it has fluctuated from 119/71 to 91/51 and heart rate from 98 to 50. PM is set from 50.
I am not on any heart meds. Only antidepressant.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thank you,
CJ

With my current medications I feel nausea and sick to my stomach all the time. I am currently taking 6mg Warfarin, 360mg Diatoazem, 0.25mg Digoxin, 150mg Toprol daily. 37.5mg Trimaterene is taken 3 days a week.
Which one I these medicines is most likely to cause nausea and stomach problems? I am currently too sick to go work because of the side effects.
I took Amiodarone for three years and stopped taking it one year ago because if was affecting my eyes. Since them...

I take one step ahead towards regret.
And find myself in a world of great fear.
A land that can make any one be stressed.
A place where thy own eyes experience tears.
I find myself in a world of sadness.
My face is burning in red hot flames.
My hands are still, froze, with pain and hardness.
My head looks down and raises up great shame.
It seems the sky looks down upon my pate.
The sun shines hard with brightness in the air.
But soon will darke...

Just an update, I’m finally getting my old PM site taken care of next Monday afternoon. My cardiologist backed off and is having a plastic surgeon do the 1 hour surgery. My 17 year old leads were capped and started to erode through the skin.
As I’m the skinny one there’s just no cover for the excess roll of capped lead wires. The surgeon conferred with my Cardiologst and plans to take out the excess coil of wires and possibly use a (small ladies implant) ??? to cover the...

I’ve had my pacemaker for about 10 weeks and I still have stabbing, stinging pains in the area around the PM. I feel that it’s been a success, and saved my life for which I am so grateful, but from what the doctors say and things I read, I should have been feeling fine by now. I hate to be a big baby about this, but it is really getting in the way of my getting back to normal. The cardiologist says I am healing just fine. My heart is responding as it should. I am just wondering if an...

After trying meds for atrial fib & flutter with 2 second pauses, I now have a PM.. It’s only been 7 days, but i’m ready to start doing push-ups, weight lift & run into burning buildings again. There is no pain at the site. My left shoulder aches from being told by Dr that I cannot raise my elbow above shoulder for 2 weeks. Dr told me NO push-ups or any upper body exercise for 6 weeks : ( He said I can then do all the push-ups I can do, but only light weightlift training. No s...

Glad he is alive
Hi folks, I do not have a pacemaker. My husband does. I fought doctors for over a year. One month apart appointments with the cardiologist who did nothing and acted like he was smarter then everyone else. Someone at last got him into UCSD and he was told he did not have another month to live. They took him in and gave him a pacemaker and he came out of surg looking like a brand new person. Everyone needs someone to speak up for them now. I am a nag. I make him excersize etc and take care of him...

I went for my first pacer check today. My pacer was "installed" April 24, 2009. It was interesting. I didn’t like how I felt after the test. The tech admitted he did something to check on my heart rate, I was throwing PVC’s big time. Hadn’t felt that way since before my surgery. Is that common for each pacer check? The tech told me I was 97% dependent on my PM. I just thought it zapped my heart once a second to keep my heart rate up. Any information will be greatly ap...

In the beginning when i first got my pacemaker i was very upset and depressed. I feel so much better now that 3 years have gone past. I dont feel depressed any more. I guess it is normal for us to feel sad and depressed at times but i just wanted you to know that things do get better. Yes, there are times when i feel frustrated about certain things that i cannot control but when i look at the bigger picture...Im just thankful to God that i am alive. So i pray right now for all of you. In the nam...
