Hey I have lost 4.5 pounds! Who says there is nothing good about being so sick hee hee. I am feeling much better toady. I am very lightheaded and a bit more dizzy than usual. hee hee That was for Peter N.! However I am better. My Dr. wants to see me A.S.A.P. Today at 1:20 pm Kansas time. family

tonight i have been feeling kinda blue, down in the dumps, i'm sure you all know what i mean. nothing and everything the matter ya know lol?

Technical Question re: AV Delay

Hi all, I have a question regarding AV delay and I hope someone can explain it simply to me and how it might be impacting what I feel when the PM kicks in. (Sorry up front for the long post)

History:Medtronic Sensia Dual lead for 2nd Degree AV Block, old Dx of Inappropriate Sinus Tach, and sprinkling of PAC/PVC's. Pacing about 3% of the time. Low rate set at 50. Don't know enough to include what might be other pertinent info.

Magneto interference

Hi PM Pals

I went to the woodshop today to get some timber with Brian. We were looking through the racks to find what we wanted and the woodcutting/planing machine was going. Suddenly I said I gotta get out of here I feel funny in the chest. Brian said the machine had powerful magnetos. It took me all of halof an hour to settle down. Anyone able to help me over this.?

One Last Surgery

Hey Everyone,

So I just wanted to let you know that I am getting ready to have Surgery #6 in January. This time it has nothing to do with my heart, amazing isn't it.

During a routine check up they found another Birth Defect called Intestinal Malrotation. To prevent me from having an emergency operation to fix this if my gut ever turns they decided to fix it now.

my pm is set on 70 at the low, i haven't been feeling to chipper the last 2 days, decided to check blood pressure, it was ok but heart rate is stayin in low 60's. should i call my doc?

Running with ICD

I've started to get back into running, but I find when I go from a fast walk to a slow run that although my heart rate stays the same I get a sensation that feels like my heart is being paced - the heart does not feel normal. Any suggestions on what might be happening?

Work after surgery

Hey all,

I have a question about returning to work after surgery. My dr. mentioned I could go to work the next day after surgery if I wanted. I want to take things slow as I'm sure I'll be very sore, so I'm taking five days off (six if you include Christmas) plus the weekend. My job is pretty sedentary (I'm an accounting supervisor), but I will have folders to carry back and forth. What experiences do you guys have with going back to work that soon? Did you feel motivated to work...

Mom's ICD...very concerned

Hello! My dear mother has a St.Jude ICD which was implanted in April, 07. ( I might add she is a tiny woman...barely 100 pounds) In July, she had to go back in because one of the leads had come loose. Now it appears as if something is sticking out...lead that was capped off...she calls it an "ice pick" because it is so very painful. Right now, even showering hurts her.

The suggestion now is to go back in and place the ICD under the muscle to give her relief. I guess I'm afraid to...

So, just a simple, hopefuly nonoffensive question. I have been off medications for...lets see since i was 8..now i'm almost 15...about 7 years. But i keep getting questions from new doctors and shocked responses when I say no. Anyone else not need to take meds? Just curious, I had to stop taking them when i was younger because they stunted my growth!! I was wondering because it seems like I'm the only one! But probably not.

Well it all started back in Oct. 2005. I was fine b4 all of this. I worked and went to school full time. I was at work on day and just passed out, out of no~where. I went to the local hospital and they seen that i had some 2nd blocking, a~fib, and 2 PE's. They told my parents that I just needed to stay over nite and i would be back to normal in the am. medication too?

After getting a PM for slow heart rate, today I was put on medication because my heart rate was too fast. I was told that this is common. The medication I am now taking is CardizemLA. Does anyone else have to take this or something similar for the same problem?

Hi Everyone,
I have just had a remarkable day.... I had to go to the Docs for a blood test quite early.... and the staff at desk were so pleasant and kind ..then in to see the nurse who stabbed me with a needle about 3 foot long and she was a gentle as a kitten ..and I thought how pleasant it restores your faith in mankind....

I came home and read my mails from my pacerfriends which is what I live for these days.. and then jumped on my mobility scooter and down to the post office...
