Need Advice

My sister received a PM approximately 2 months ago after having multiple instances of passing out, several of which occurred at her job in Tennessee. She works at a local fast food chain.It may not be much of a job, but it is all she has at this point.

office check

I feel like I'm never get my next office check. I've been having monthly phone checks because my battery has about 1yr left.(according to the last office check) and am suppoused to go to the office every 6 months. I was supposed to go 1 1/2 weeks ago but had to change it because I got suponeaned to go to court the same day. arm swelling

Been a competitive swimmer most of my life. Very slow heart beat finally led to the pacemaker in 2008. Surgeon knew that I swam and encouraged me to go right back to it after healing. Been back swimming hard for 1 1/2 years. Lately, my right upper arm (pacer is on the right side)swells during practice to the point that my bicep looks like the Hulk's when practice is over. Typical New England Weather

Yesterday was a beautiful day. It was sunny and in the 40's. I started thinking a few more days like this and I may be able to play golf. I woke up this morning to snow. Lots of heavy snow. I tried to put my beagle (Sully) outside. He stuck his nose out the door and turned around and went back to bed. I do have a snow blower but I prefer to shovel. What do these settings mean?

Hi all in Pacer land, I am still on the slow learning curve, and have a few questions.

What is the difference between SafeR (AAI<=>DDD) and
DDDR

On basic Parameters under Smoothing I am set at Off now and it was at Slow

Under Rate response the current value is Learn it was at RRauto.

After being told that I had pauses they put in a Pacemaker, and things have not gone so good.

New Member Police Officer with PM/ICD

I'm a Police Captain with over 32 years on a county police agency on the east coast. I received my St. Jude's PM/ICD on 1/12/09, and a month later I'm feeling great. I started my workouts last week to begin the road back to running and lifting again. I'm still on light duty/restricted duty at work (can't wear a gun or uniform and have to work my regular administrative job). Listen to your body

I had my dual chamber pacemaker inserted last September and posted a comment then about problems I was having - I was experiencing what felt like extremely strong heart beats from time to time but ended up thinking that it was just nearby chest muscles being activated. Who Has Participated in a Clinical Trial?

I've been searching on the ClinicalTrials.gov website for months looking for trials in which the benefit for me would be a free pacemaker. Since I don't have health insurance, I figure that would be a way to get the pacemaker I need.

moving the moved

I got the second opinion suggested by so many - and - lo and behold - it seems the lead had indeed moved. (Hence the sharp burning pain in my chest.......) Revising the lead was suggested - and completed this past Friday. Seems the newest (and until Friday - not working) lead had bonded (albeit inappropriately) with the failed lead. Hating My Pacer

I hated my pacer and everything that came along with it. I hate interrogations, coumadin tests, co-pays and meds.
I love spending time with my family, going fishing, working out and taking in baseball games. I realize I can't do the things I enjoy unless I do the things I hate. The pacer is necessary. PM not adjusted right? Or?

Hi... I just wanted to ask I have had my PM since Oct 09
and once in awhile I still get the short of breath business
I have had my PM read over the phone and in person
and they say all is well... however I am wondering if I need to have the PM interrogated again? Dual PM for low pulse is why I had to get one of these....other then that I am good to go
so just wondered if anyone had SOB and had the PM adjusted for that? I am not on any meds and only take vitamins.
