Headache??

I had a Medtronics Advanta ADDR01 implanted on 10/1/2009 and have had a constaint low grade headache ever since.

My first PM was implanted in 1996 and removed in 2006 due to endocarditus. During this ten years I had no head aches.

From 2006 until 2009 I had no PM at all.

Now I have a constant headache. Is this normal? and will it be temporary?

I would like to hear others experience with headaches.

Hi everyone, i am new here and would like to ask a question....
I have had my pacemaker for 6 years now and for the last 6 weeks have been having dizzyness, shortness of breath, chest pain and tightness and eptopic beats (at least 60 - 70 per day)
I know they are eptopic beats as i just had a ultrasound of my heart today and while having the test i had a run of them.
I cant get into my cardiologist for a couple of months so i am a little worried about them.

Pacing much more than last year

Though I have written on here numerous times about how much I've been able to run, and get faster seemingly since getting y pacemaker, today I learned of a situation. I got my PM last August and at my October inspection, they found that I was pacing 6% of the time. Now, a year later, I found oput today that I am pacing 33% of the time. I am concerned and do not quite understand why this is occurring. Has anyone else expeienced this?
Thanks, I await your input.

PS though I hav...

Low Blood Pressure

I went yesterday to have my 50k mile check up on my pacemaker. The pm unit itself is just fine. I will need a new one in about a year.

However, while doing the testing my blood pressure dropped suddenly on the treadmill, 80/50. She asked if I was dizzy and I said "I am always dizzy" which I am requently. So they drew some blood and are going to get back with me.

Apparently after a discussion this may have been going on for several months. I have lost weight recently...

PACEMAKER USER AGAIN

Hi Everyone
I am new to the Pacemaker Club but not new to PM use. In 1996 I was diagnosed with Bradycardia BPM 36 with no heartbeat at all on 14 occasions in a 24 hour period. I received a dual lead Intermedics PM and it lasted from 1996 until April 2006 when the battery got low.
A replacement was put in and and the leads which were on recall failed to capture. Another PM was put in the other side with new leads and no capture after a few days of working.
The leads...

Shock coming from pacer area

Hi I am 27 and I have had my pacer for 3 years. Over the last year I have recieved some pretty serious "shocks" from around my left shoulder. Nothing shows up on my check-ups. I have been shocked so hard that it makes my shoulder and arm convulse enough that those around me notice. Has anyone else had this happen?

Bruises

Now that I have two leads (still attached thank goodness...LOL), the leads leave bruises on my skin. I haven't been really sore, and am already sleeping on all sides. I was just wondering if it hinders anything me sleeping an all positions this soon after my implant (9 days ago). The other night I slept on my stomach and when I woke up the next morning, realized I had two bruises from where my leads had been pressed against my skin and left marks.
I've never heard of such a thing, just thou...

More China advice

Hi!
I got quite a few helpful responses on my question about my PM pacing while in China. I was able to get to Shanghai to have it interrogated by a licensed Medtronic rep (my PM is Medtronic) and found it to be pacing a little more than usual (only to confirm my suspicions). I was sent back with a "good luck" after asking if it was safe and getting a "Well, it depends on the kind of electrical field forcing it to pace." Two weeks later, I'm still unable to find out what kind of electricity...

Quivering

At times, mostly when lying down, I have the feeling of a quiver (feels fast) in what I suppose is my heart. When I feel my pulse it seems to be steady as it should be, sometimes missing a beat. I can feel the beat in my bad ear, but not the quiverf! It's enough to keep me awake. It usually stops in 5-10 minutes, but sometimes not. Hard to make it happen in the doc's office.
My EP finally accepted that something was happening because he could see it on the event monitor I used. He believes...
