Iam Pacing

Hi friends!!!well I got my Jewel on 2nd Feb,DDDr St.Jude. The wound is healing fine though I still have sourness in and around my left shoulder and arm(I think it's normal???is it?)As far as I know I was diagnosed with SSS with Bradycardia but now it seems I have Tachy-brady syndrome(is this normal too? going from brady to tachy-brady???).So,since two four days Iam taking Beta -blockers to control tachycardia.Will have a Holter done to see if it's working on this wednesday.As for my PM, the bas...

This newbie wants to thank you all for this wonderful site

Three weeks ago I took a quick ride in an ambulance to emergency and subsequently learned that I needed a pacemaker. What a frightening and confusing time it has been. I had been experiencing shortness of breath and dizzy spells for a month, then on a Saturday the dizziness wouldn’t stop and included chest and shoulder pain and neck numbness, so my husband called the ambulance. I was diagnosed with 3rd degree heart block and a few days later I got my pacemaker.

hi you people especially the young who can relate. jana v is 24 who experienced a cardiac arrest one night and she ended up with an icd. she is isolated. right now she knows noone else there with an icd. can trlam, turbo anyone who can give support to her write to her. also abc. thanks. it would really warm my heart to see her with some support. it is hard to get the help in some countries but she found us so i am hoping we can reach out and bring her in. your friend here jessie aka maureen

Sarcoidosis

After having my pacer di-fib implanted two years ago.. I still have spots in my lungs..new ones. They think it is this stuff, but cannot tell untill a biopisy is completed. They also thihnk it caused my heart issues in the first place. Anyone know anything about this stuff? It has affected my eyes and now my lungs..they think my heart. Incomplete MUGA

Hello Folks,

How you have had a MUGA? I had about 1/3 of one Thursday and would like to know if any of you have had anything like the experience I had.

I got the radioactive substance injection and went to the scanner. They got me all wired up with the 3 leads and she next thing I hear is "something is wrong, I'm getting a heart beat of less than 30 BPM and it must be above 30 to do the scan." Searching the net-re: pm's

Still in shcck this all happened so quick... I've always been the type of person to research and research regarding health issues. Well now I have a really good reason, loooonngg heart pauses while sleeping.
I found one blog that mentioned he had a pm for heart pauses but lately found out pacemakers are damaging to people w/ otherwise "healthy hearts"...could there be any evidence of this? Is our lifespan shortened because of pm's?

Hi All

My name’s Mel and I live in Australia. I’ve had my PM for just under 3 months now, so I’m fairly new to all this as well. I was fainting for about 6 weeks before they figured out what was wrong (sick sinus syndrome). I’m glad I listened to my GP during that time when he said don’t drive!

Airport security machines no problem

Hi everyone,
I thought I would pass this on to you. I have recently flown through airports in Indianapolis, Detroit, Washington DC and Ft Myers with no problems. I didn't tell TSA that I have a pacemaker and since they tell you to walk through the machine I did so each time without ever setting off a single machine. It is much easier than getting taken out of line to wait for a female TSA agent to pat you down. Next time you travel, just hold onto your card just in case you set it off b...
