Adrenaline Rush? HELP?

Hi all,
My husband has had his pacer for about 5 months. He had a Maze procedure for Afib. Outside of some PVCs, he has been in perfect rhythm with his pacer working 99% of the time. He is only 43 so this was all a big struggle emotionally. Which everyone on the site helped us through! - Anyway, as of late he says he has sensations like quick adrenaline rushes... anyone have any ideas?

They did a holter monitor a couple of weeks ago and no signs of problems there. They turned up...

2. This Cardiologist and Hospital where I have to go is far off from home and I want to be near the home. Far off means 50 mintues extra round trip and we are really short of time.

How do switch you Cardiologist. My wife has placed a call to him asking for his recommenda...

Pacemaker EMF query

Hi

Had had my dual chamber pacey since 2003 & have remained working in the electricity industry since with great caution at times due to the EMF I can get hit with. The latest curly is that our trucks have just changed over to new remotes for our EWP's & since then I am getting violently ill, dizzy, nauseous all the fun stuff when something is transmitting too close when the trucks pull in & take off. My question is - has anyone else ever had any probs with remotes making them ill? A...

now my heart is racing

I had a pacemaker put in Nov 2009. My heart rate was usually around 40. I am 52 year old female. Well now my heart races, and for as long as 5 hours. They now want me to take beta blockers for that. I also have high blood pressure which i never had before. I think the pace maker has caused this. Can it be removed? Or is there something else i can do because i do not like taking drugs.

In Need Of Advice

Hi everyone! Feb.4, 2010 I had my pacemaker implanted. My heart was punctured and the bleeding was bad. I go back to have it (the pacemaker) checked on Mar. 11, 2010 but not sure if I need to wait til then. Before the pacemaker I was a smoker. Now smoke free! Was never out of breath. Now I get out of breath easy. I am also having pains where the pacemaker is. Even when I take a deep breath. I don't know what it feels like when the pacemaker misfires so don't know if that is what is going on. I h...

Sore throat and fuzzy head

Hi guys. As some of you might know I had to have general anethesia and was intubated because of it. I know that a sore throat is usually a side effect of this, but does anyone know how long the throat pain is supposed to last? It doesn't hurt like a sore throat from a cold, it hurts deeper down by my voice box. Is this normal?
Also, my head is not clear. Kind of fuzzy. Is this normal from surgery too?

Dizzyness

Well Hello Everyone its been awhile since I have posted. It has been 2 years since any problems since the insertion of my pacemaker.
Well on Monday I was in the library doing a Legal Research assignment, I felt completely fine the entire time doing it. Then I sat down and became very dizzy. I figured maybe it was because I had not eaten or drank anything that morning so I decided to leave and go get some food and go home and rest. When I got home I ate and Layed down where the dizzi...

Maybe a problem

Another pacemaker was installed about 2 months ago--battery in old one pooped out.
I was awake during surgery also again. During surgery heard dr. say--They're making them bigger now. Dr. had difficulty getting pacemaker back into the pocket under the skin and muscle--tried making pocket bigger but I don't think he could. Now pacemaker is placed more upward than other one and sticks very close to skin surface at slight angle outward. I feel almost constant pain in the uppper arm. I'm scared...

Burning sensation

I recently got a medical alert device for my father, who has a pacemaker. He reports that during sleep the alert, which he wears around his neck, shifts. When it's over the pacemaker he feels like the wires are burning him. When he moves the device, the burning goes away. His doctor told him the medical alert couldn't be doing this, but that doesn't make a lot of sense. My father is not the type to make things like this up or call attention to himself. Any advice?

pulsating "shocking" feeling

About 6 days ago I started getting annoyed by this pulsating feeling. Very hard to describe. Feels like a PVC would, like a strong beat. I dont feel it in chest though like anything palpitations cause. I feel it like in my hands and heads. If you have ever had high blood pressure and get that feeling of your pulse in your head, it feels much like that. Sometimes it is just one beat, sometimes it is 3 beats. Happens all day long at random times. It does not correlate with my ventricle rat...

ELECTRICALS

I'm 24 days out from a PM inserted. The past few days, I have had moments when above the PM site, it feels like a slight electric current, sort of a mini-shock lasting about 4-5 seconds. It's only above the PM site.

Whether the stove is on or not, when I'm in the cooking area of the kitchen, between the refrigerator and stove, I get dizzy. I can leave this area and it goes away. This has only been in the past week as well.

Now I stay away from the microwave, but this ha...

what is my pace maker’s future?

I’m 62 year old, female. I had a Medtronic pacemaker implanted at the beginning of the year. The first day after my operation, I was hearing and feeling heavy, thudding heart beats on my left chest and went to emergency room right away. My operation doctor reprogrammed my pacemaker. He shut off the lower chamber’s lead as a temporally solution and set the lower limited to 50. He said I had to go to operation room again for relocating the lead. Unfortunately two weeks later the lower chamber’s l...

DOC WON'T LISTEN

My first pacemaker was inserted on February 4, 2010. Within 4-days, I felt so much better, I remembered what it was like to feel normal. This lasted only 4-days and then I went back to shortness of breath, swelling in feet/ankles, rash on the top of my feet, back gas pains, chest pressure, and dizziness when standing.

When standing, it feels like my heart literally jumps up into my throat, I can't catch my breath, and I think I will pass out. It took 5-days to get in to see the do...

Can pacemaker move?

Is it possible for my pacemaker to shift to the right? Yesterday my sports bra strap dug into the pacemaker when working out and really hurt. Then it seemed to bulge a little more than normal. And today I noticed that my seatbelt wasn't bothering the site as it usually does. So I think it shifted, but not sure if it's possible or if I should be concerned. My implant was 6 months ago, under the muscle.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

PVC's

Hello everyone! I am new to the club. I had my pacemaker installed in January 2009, for severe symptomatic bradycardia. While I never passed out, I would feel extremely lightheaded, my ears would ring and my vision would tunnel and white out. After months of test that ended up with an implanted loop recorder, I ended up in the ER when my symptoms just would not go away. Overnight they watched and my heart rate never went above the mid 40's. They put in the pacemaker the next day, I was 30yrs old...

POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS?

December 26th, my fourth TIA.

January 5th, ER and hospitalized 5-days for AFIB. I can't feel the heart beating but I definitely feel the side-effects. I was placed on blood-thinner and medication for the AFIB and told that most likely the TIA'S had been caused from attacks of AFIB and should not stop.

February 4th, I had a dual-chamber Boston Scientific PM inserted. My interrogation showed I wasn't using the lead to the lower-chamber at all. I was using the lead to the...
