I knew it!!!!!!!!!!!
Pacer since November of 2004. Miserable ever since, matter of fact, I feel worse day by day.
After 5 years I finally get to see an EP. He figures out that I have Junctional Rhythm.
He makes some changes to my pacer on December 14th. Before I leave the clinic, I ask if I don't feel "right", I am NOT waiting another 6 months for my next appointment. He ASSURES me that will NOT happen and gives me Anna's phone # (she is the one who books h...

What is the difference in a pacemaker, Crt, ICD defibrillator and biventriculator. Also why do some have two wires while others have three wires and I have even heard of one with one wire?????

Well hello friends. I hope all of you are doing well. In celebration of making it a year with ticker two I made myself a cake and enjoyed the fact I made it one year without having surgeries. Awesome news!
On another note I have my surgery set and will be going in on the 19th for my procedure which will be a lead removal and getting my pm positioned better. My chest is still very swollen from the pm rotating around in there and sitting directly up in the air at points. I had to post...

Hi all I had a pacemaker implanted in September and after about 6 weeks I could not even tell it was there and all was great. But in the past week or so I have been experiencing a lot of pain in my site and it radiates into my left shoulder and it seems that the pacemaker has came to the surface of my skin more than it was previous. I asked my doctor about it today and he said that sometimes they shift slightly as you get back into your normal daily life however he did not think that it had s...

Hi Everyone,
I'm hoping that you guys can help me. My mom has had her pacemaker for about 6 months now. She has been feeling a strange sensation that she says is hard to describe. From what i can gather from what she describes her symptoms are the following: she feels her chest tighten a bit all of a sudden and feels a little short of breath, she also says she feels some discomfort in her stomach. The episodes last a few minutes and then they go away. We have spoken to her doc and he...

Good Afternoon,
Has anyone experienced blood clots after their surgery???
Today is my one month anniversary since my CRT-D implant and those 30 days have been relatively challenging, including a severe flare up of Gout that's slowing abating.
Now I noticed a lump in my left arm...my PCP says it's a blood clot...probably related to the surgery. He seems to think it is in a so called superficial "cephalic"l vein and should resolve itself without further complica...

I had my PM installed 14th December. The first week was like hell, but I went to work each day and life is slowly coming back. I'll have my 2nd check at the hospital next week, and will ask for their advice on training and other things. But is there anybody with sports and exercise experience? I'm 63, very active and need a really good reason to take it easy the coming months!

Just a quick question for those of you who suffered lightheadedness before you got your pacemaker....do you still experience a feeling like you are GOING to get dizzy / lightheadded and then it doesn't happen? (obviously because your pacemaker kicks in)!
I have found that a few times since I got pm 5 weeks ago, I get a feeling like I'm going to have one of the usual lightheadded spells that I used to get before my pm, but then it doesn't happen. It's weird...feels like a half a second...

Is 2nd Surgery nec to correct lead wire prob?

My husband had emergency Surgery on Nov. 8th, 2009 when his PM was first implanted. We were "out of network" for the surgery, as this was determined to be an emergency. He is 66 yrs old & generally in good health. He had suffered from syncope & dizziness for several months & had a gazillion heart tests prior to his PM implant.
Anyway, DH had a Right Branch Bundle Block. His PM has two...

Mistake in earlier message --
The two wires in DHs PM -- one is atrial & one is ventricular. I think that is correct info. Sorry, my very long email says "arterial" lead wire; it should say atrial, I think.
