Medical Alert Tattoo

I'm not a fan of medical bracelets, or just bracelets in general so I've been thinking about a heart tattoo on my inner wrist with the pacemaker symbol inside. Has anyone ever did this? I was told by my doctor it would be a good idea to wear a bracelet since I'm so young but since I've had the device I never end up wearing it like I should. So I figured a tattoo would be the next best thing, but i'm a little nervous since it will be there forever....let me know what you think:-)

Hello friends
I have not been on here for several months due to not feeling too well again.
About 4 months i went to my pm clinic with a problem. Over my pm site there seemed to be a swelling which was very tender to touch. The technician just said that the doctor would laugh at her if she called him to see me and nothing was wrong and sent me away with a 12 month review appt. pacemaker,jaundice,blockage in liver

I spoke with the doctor and there are several masses blocking his liver duct's presumed melignent. They are sending him a=back until he can have a biopsy in 1 week. ou would think there would be urgent basis. But there is a waiting list. No one can find any informationon his pacemaker. pacemaker/umbilical herniation

My husband had the ct scan done. Had been severely sick since. Bloated,turned severe jaundic,hypo-glycemic. Then in that week the bely button herniation. I've been checking the internet & my nursing books. But anything someone could add would be appreciated. He is in hospital & they want to send him home. such a blessing

Well i have my little blessing!!! A litle boy named Landon Oliver he was three weeks eatly. 6lbs 10oz 20.5in long. So everything was great.....i loved being pregnant!!! One problem. I started feeling like i couldnt catch my breath. Which i just put off to being pregnant. It just kept getting worse and worse. I ended up making it till 36weeks and 5days. Amiodarone

Hi there!

I started Amiodarone at the end of February this year. Since May I have reduced the dosage bit by bit; this is the first week with just 600mg/week (taking it mondays, wednesdays, fridays). I saw my EP on Monday, and he said that if I'm doing well with such a low dosage there won't (most likely) be any bad side-effects. I was wondering what your experiences are. What was the lowest dosage you did well with, and were there really no side-effects?

SSS and AV block too

Hi to all!
After exchange infos with Frank and Inga for a while I give you my news: I was today with my cardiologist for a PM control and we talked about my settings and of course about the symptoms I had and still have. And taking care of your advice, I asked him why I was been stimulated on the atrium and the ventricle too: I do have SSS but also AV nodal dysfunction (Av block).
Therefor I have a dual chamber instead of a one chamber PM and also the reason of the stimulation on both....

another doctor's appt in the morning

Hello everyone! I have posted before and gotten a lot of great advice. This club has helped me so much. My last post was about not being able to exercise. I had my check-up two months ago and my heart rate was 155. The doctor said that is why I am having such a hard time exercising. We did a monitor and it is staying around that rate most of the time. Today I got the phone transmitter in the mail and I completed the checkup. But when I put the magnet over the pm....it felt strange. Like my heart was beating harder, thumping harder...I asked if it was supposed to "feel funny" and the lady on the phone said no...not really.

What is wrong with me????

Am loosing my mind? That is the question of the day. My sort term memory is gone! I can't remember if I mailed something, lost it, or completed it? This is making me feel just like before the pacemaker. I feel panicked and dreadfully full of that awful feeling of doom. I think I want to cry because I still know I should "know" things.
