New to this

Can I just say I am so glad that I found this site. What a great group of people on here!

I am 43 and I had my new Best Friend installed on 4-4-11.  My issue is feeling real dizzy and nauseated for the past 3 days. My nausea seams to kick in more when I stand up. Has anyone else had this issue? My local pacemaker clinic has a nurse on call and if not better by tomorrow I will call. Thank you all in advance.

Julie

altrua S5O2

Hi, has anyone experienced any problems with an Altrua S5O2 pacemaker?  Since having this fitted I have had lightheadedness and a floating feeling intermittently. All the checks are saying that there is nothing wrong with the pacemaker. It has been happening for 7 weeks now. The 24hr tape showed it wasn’t picking up the P waves, so adjusted again, but still happening.

A-Fib, A-Flutter and Doctors

I just recently had my third ablation, in fact it was done one week ago today.  I really had faith in my doctors this time and thought it would work and for 3 days it did.  Anyway, on Sunday I started feeling really horrible and went to the hospital later on that night.  It was determined by the ER doctor that I was in full blown A-Flutter and was admitted and ended up staying for three days.  The very doctor I saw on my ward that night tried to convince me I was not in an...

Concerned with Implant

I am currently awaiting pacemaker implantation and I just found out I am pregnant. Does anyone know if it will still be possible for me to have the pacemaker or will I have to wait until after delivery?

What could this be?

Hello all, to make a long story short I was on Sotolal an A-fib med and it had me feeling dizzy and light headed, so I got off the med by doctors orders. Four days later at work I fell out and got real dizzy and light headed and had to sit down on the floor cause my balance and hearing was off. It seems I thought it was my ears cause I was sick and then possibly got an infection and now I have been light headed for 2 plus months.

I have been to an ENT, had CT scan, and they say it c...

lightheaded and floating feeling

Hi,
I have posted before, about my lightheadedness, after having PM box change in February. This was happening in the night but now it’s both day and night.

Since it has been happening in the day I have noticed other symptoms e.g just before I feel lightheaded I get a funny feeling in my nose like blocked sinuses.  After the lightheadedness I can feel as though I am floating and this can last a few hours. I can also get a muzzy headache afterwards. What I cann...

PVCs worse

I've had my PM for about a year. At first all was well, then the PVCs started and they continued to get worse. Tried BB but developed very low BP and what my doctor felt was a breathing problem so he stopped them. They did help. He has not offered anything else and PVCs now start whenever I try to exercise, no matter how mild. In short it's impossible to do the exercise I could do before and months after receiving my PM. They usually start right after breakfast, but they are really worse r...

Six weeks and still not right

It's been six weeks since my PM implant and I am still not feeling right.

They said everything looked good, better than good in fact but I still don't feel right.

My heart still feels like it is racing but when I check my pulse it isn't high. I have been getting leg cramps in my right calf a lot lately but I also noticed I've been tightening my leg while it would be relaxed so that pretty much explains that.

Part of me thinks that what I am experiencing is all i...

Chest Pressure, throat pain, arm ache.

Hi, I've recently had my atrial lead and battery changed (6 wks ago), since the op, I keep getting strange feeling of intense pressure in my chest. This can be either at rest or after light exercise. I also sometimes have a pressure like pIn in my throat and a general ache in my left arm. I'm also feeling dizzy/light headed a lot too.
My gp was less than helpful and just suggested a pm check, that was today and apart from a stitch protruding from the wound, all was good.
I'm not sure...

Persistant Cough

My dad just had a pacer implant early March ~ he is now home but is up every night coughing for up to 2 hrs and cannot fall back asleep unless he sits up in his chair... I was wondering if we should get him an adjustable bed??

He has lowered his sodium intake as well as fluids over the past 2 weeks.. we were hoping this would resolve the water retention but it's not quite working..

Recently his arm becames swollen and pain is still there.

pulmonary vien ablation

Hi, a week ago today I went in for my second pulmonary vein ablation, which went terribly wrong, the Dr. hit scar tissue in the chest and the probes went into the septum, which  induced a coma right away, and I was that way for 36 hours, had breathing tube in and also drainage tube...my question is embarrassing, I came home after 4 days and since have had trouble with my bowels; it just runs out, no notice or anything.

Is it possible that the Dr. hit a section of the bowel...

I'm a bit bummed out

As many members know, I've written quite a bit on how easy my operation was and how well the recovery has been.
I made a posting a short while ago that I was experiencing bouts of dizziness and breathlesness. I saw the cardio and he suspected that I was having episodes of tachycardia and made arragements for me to wear a holter monitor.
Well the results have come in and he confirmed his initial diagnosis and mentionned that there were also indications of short bouts of atrial (I think...

shocks

HI everyone This could all be in my mind but I know I felt something. I got my pm in Dec. Everything seems to be doing just fine. On Sunday I was just sitting and it felt like I was getting little shocks. A few little pings. It lasted a few seconds. Then about a minute or two it happened again. Nothing since. My question does this make sense to anyone?

blood pressure

I'm a 73 year old male. I take only a multi and .81 aspirin. In very good condition. I used to donate blood on a regular basis until two years ago. I was turned down for irregular pulse. Spent 2 years with a cardiologist monitoring the situation. Holter monitor in 2/2011 revealed my pulse going down to 38-40 asleep and skipping many beats. I NEVER had any symptoms. NONE! I played my saxophone for hours on end, NO symptoms. This is my history. I had a PM implanted 2/11. It has been interrogated b...
