Hello:
I have had my PM since Valentines Day and was wondering when I can sleep on my left side without worrying about
my leads? I have done my exercises from the start and have
almost no soreness now.

A man comes home from work and cant find his wife. After looking all over the house he finds her in the bedroom as naked as a jay bird standing in front of a mirror looking at herself. She had recently had a pacemaker installed.
The man yells at his wife What are you doing?
The wife replies I had a doctors appointment today and the doc checked out the PM scar and in the course of the exam he said that I have the breasts of a 20 year old
The man r...

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
Im doing much better.
Im sorry to have caused such a commotion, and I hated to worry others.
I hate hospitals, even though I work at one, and hate going to the ER even more so. Unfortunately, going to the ER is necessary when you cant breathe.
Feeling MUCH better now, though, THANKS BUNCHES.
Ya'll behave out there,
(I know how hard that can be......LOL)

A 1st grade school teacher had twenty-six students in her class. She presented each child in her classroom the 1st half of a well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb. It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders.
Their insight may surprise you. While reading, keep in mind that these are 6-year-old first-graders, because the last one is a classic!

I received my pm on 11/24/08. That Saturday I went to the ER, I had bronchitis. Not too many problems since then. My question however is about taking medicine.
I think I have bronchitis again, the whole family has it. They, my husband and two boys, have gotten over it. I however have not. I've had it about a week now. Is there any medicine I should or should not be taking. My Dr. would be no help at all. I'm actually in the process of finding a new one.
Do we need...

It happened again this evening. The first time it happened was last month. I had a scheduled PM/ICD check and an appointment with the cardio. The check went fine, no recordable events in the last 3 months. Everything else was normal for me, won't bore you with the details. Cardio appointment went fine, no med changes, BP and HR normal.
I was scheduled for an appointment with my EP about 10 days after the cardio appointment. A couple of days before my appointment with the...

Thanks for the encourgeing words you bestowed on me. Im kinda out of my funk mood. Its just that it is getting so hard to accept the fact that I cant work anymore and I think that is really setting in now. But I guess its time to face reality. Oh well. I wish it would quit raining, nothing to do and getting tired of tv. At least when I can go outside I can do things to take my mind off of things, or I can go fishing, cant wait to go golfing either.
Thank you for all the support

We are campers and go out in the boondocks. I had an ablation 2 yrs. ago and am now 100% dependent on my pacemaker. I would like to know how you can tell if you have enough resilency in your heart to survive in case of pacemaker failure until you can reach the hospital. I think everyone is different so who could answer this question for me specifically? Thanks in advance. DD

Well hello friends, I had a ER visit the other day out of no where I got chest pain I knew it was my pm right away acting funny sorta. So here is my question does anybody else get pain when pacing happens in the ventricles?
Anytime I got into PMT my ventricle pacing comes in and it hurt. The tech was able to turn down my hr so it won't go up as high so it does not hurt as bad. It took here 31/2 hrs to get settings to help me feel better. My sensing has to be so high b/c otherwise I get...

Are there any special things to watch for when you are getting what you think is a cold? Hubby has had sinus infection for 2 weeks so not sure what I'm coming down with. PM implant September 08. Thot I recalled someone saying need to see doc early on as can become more serious because my body has a foreign body in it. I don't want to over or under react. Thanks
Peggy

It has been a really difficult day for me. There I said it. I do not like the springtime daylight saving time! It makes me tired, it makes me cranky, it makes me want to say bad words. Thank God my heart is working so well these days. The stress of the day is really getting me down. WOW! What was that? Ah yes... THUNDER AND LIGHTENING.... a Midwestern Storm!
I am in the middle of a thunderstorm and now I am going to be sitting in the dark at any moment! I feel as if my awful day just is...

Just wanted to pop in and say hi...it's been a while. I've been lurking, but haven't really had anything to contribute.
Been well with no syncopal episodes since I got my little friend.
Still get that feeling that something is tearing when I turn onto my right side at night. The doc says it's just scar tissue.
I usually sleep on my left and I suppose it gets all scrunched up and then when I roll over it stretches it out.... hoping this won't be a permament thing because it HURTS...

I got a call from Angelie earlier. She was feeling bad so she went to the ER where she was admitted with pulmonary edema. She's hoping to be out tomorrow. I'll let you know if I hear anything more. Hopefully she will be back herself feeling better and posting soon! Please keep her in your prayers, she's had a rough few weeks.
